With over a decade of experience in editing, I specialise in academic and non-fiction writing, helping authors refine their work with clarity and precision. My background in academic environments has given me a deep understanding of scholarly writing, from research manuscripts and theses to course materials and journal articles. I have worked extensively with institutions such as Ghent University in Belgium and the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand, ensuring that content meets the highest editorial and referencing standards, including APA style.

My career began in academic libraries, primarily medical settings, where I developed a strong foundation in scientific research, literature searches, and academic publishing. This experience allows me to engage critically with complex material and ensure that research is presented accurately and effectively.

Beyond academic editing, I have also worked on fiction projects, though my primary focus remains on non-fiction. My expertise spans multiple disciplines, including health sciences, business, law, education, and the humanities. In addition to editing, I have experience in translation (Dutch to English) and machine translation post-editing for business documents.

My meticulous attention to detail, strong command of English grammar, and commitment to clear communication allow me to enhance the readability and impact of any text. Whether you need a thorough edit for an academic article or guidance on structuring a complex manuscript, I bring a careful, professional approach to every project.

Let’s collaborate to refine your writing and bring your ideas to life.
